What Is New August 2024

This document provides a summary of the most significant new features, enhancements, and changes we have made to the software. For further details regarding Localization, Supported Software or Recommended Limits, review the Accounts Receivable by YayPay Release Notes.

General Features

Creating Tasks While Adding Notes

When manually adding notes for payments, adjustments, or credit memos, you can now simultaneously create a related task.

For this purpose, we have added the Create task check box to the Add Note dialog for all the document types. Once you have checked this box, specified all the details, and saved your changes, the task will appear on the Tasks page.

You can also see all customer notes on the NOTES tab at the bottom of the Statement page.

For more details, see the Statement Page - Other Tabs section.

Cash Application

Auto-Allocation Using Payment-Remittance Association Enhanced

We have implemented several new features to improve YayPay's  auto-allocation using payment-remittance association‍:

  • Partial Allocations — YayPay can now transfer partial allocations from remittances to payments in cases where documents allocated to the remittance were previously partially allocated to a different payment.
When such a partial allocation occurs, the list of selected documents provides alerts for partially allocated documents and already taken discounts, allowing you to decide whether or not to save or adjust the partial allocation.
  • Alerts for Untransferable Allocations— When YayPay is unable to transfer an allocation from a remittance to a payment, it now indicates this to the users by displaying the following alerts within the list of selected documents:
    • For a document that is unavailable for allocation because it has already been fully allocated by another payment:
    • For a document has been deleted from your ERP system:

Payment Notes

AR specialists and admins can now add notes to payments‍ using the new Add Note button available on the open payments grid‍.

This feature will help different AR specialists to share information with each other while working with the same payments.

Emails and Communications

Managing Assigned Customers

To offer you greater flexibility when managing your emails, you can now manually unassign emails that were automatically assigned to specific customers.

For this reason, we have renamed the Assign Customer action on the Communications page to Manage Customer to better reflect its expanded functionality.

This allows you to not only unassign a customer using the new Unassigned option added to the dialog that opens after clicking on this action, but also to reassign a customer.

The information about the currently assigned or unassigned customer is displayed in the email list on the Communications page.

For more details, see the Assigning Emails to Customers section.

Reporting

Saving Dashboards

We have added the SAVE DASHBOARD AS button to the DASHBOARDS tab on the Reporting page. Thus, you can quickly create a copy of your dashboard, including all filters, charts, and grids.

This functionality is available to all users except those with View Only access.

For more details, see the Dashboards in Reporting section.

Search Functionality in Reports and Filters

To easily find specific fields to include in your reports and filters, you can now use the newly added Search functionality.

This is available not only when creating new reports but also when selecting columns that should be displayed in already existing reports.

Additionally, you can search for particular source fields while configuring filters.

For more details, see the Creating and Managing Reports section.

Payment Providers

Enhancements to Flywire ACH Payments

When you use FlywireTM to process ACH payments, you can now select one of the Alternative Payment Methods (APM) that include services such as Online Banking, PayPal, Trustly, Pago Efectivo, and more.

However, the availability of the specific payment methods will vary depending on your Flywire configuration and country.

For more information, see the ACH Payments section.

Enhancements to Stripe Connect® ACH Payments

When you use Stripe Connect® to process ACH payments, you can now select the SEPA payment method which allows you to pay your invoices in euros.

For more information, see the Stripe Connect Payments and Integration section.

Worfklow Features

New Do not attach invoice PDF if ERP PDF is missing Setting

To provide you with more flexibility, we have added the new Do not attach invoice PDF if ERP PDF is missing setting in Settings | Business

This setting checks for ERP PDFs in all email reminders that are triggered by rule events and have the Attach PDF of the open invoice that triggered the action or Attach open invoice PDFs settings checked. If YayPay cannot find the ERP PDF, the email reminder will be sent without the PDF attachment.

Additionally, missing ERP PDFs will be included in a report that you can download in the Download Missed PDFs Report section in SettingsBusiness.

This new setting overrides the Do not send reminder if ERP PDF is missing workflow setting. This means that the email reminder will be sent even if the ERP PDF attachment is missing, but without the PDF attachment.

For more details, see the Business Settings (General information section) section.

Integration Features

Business Central® – Syncing Documents Without Document Type

To ensure accurate data synchronization, all documents in Business Central® Journal Entries should have a Document Type specified.

However, since documents without a specified Document Type often affect a customer's balance, we now synchronize them as adjustments.

For more details, see the Data Types and their States section.

QuickBooks Online® – Payment Integration Available

YayPay can now push payment data directly to QuickBooks Online®, saving you time and improving the accuracy of your financial data.

By eliminating the need for manual data entry, this feature reduces the risk of errors and enhances productivity. Furthermore, it provides better visibility into your payment processes, leading to improved cash flow management, ensuring that your financial data is always synced and up-to-date across both platforms.

To learn how to set up and benefit from this new feature, see the QuickBooks Online: Payment Integration‍ article.

Sage Intacct® – Syncing Saving Accounts

We have added a new checkbox called Sync saving accounts into the Sage Intacct® connector settings.

You can use it to start syncing saving accounts configured in Sage Intacct® to YayPay. Once synced, you can utilize the saving accounts within the following YayPay features:

  • Business Settings – You will be able to select the saving accounts as the default bank accounts for ACH and card payments.
  • Cash Application Basic and Cash Application Advanced modules – You will be able to select the saving accounts as bank accounts for created payments.

This feature gives you more flexibility, allowing you to choose whether to use checking or saving accounts within the listed YayPay feature based on your business needs.

To study this feature in detail, see the Intacct: Payment Integration to Intacct‍ article.
